FRESNO A'S COLLEGIATE TEAM TOPS B-52'S 6-4 IN SEASON OPENER

The Fresno A's Collegiate team opened their season on Friday, with an away contest against the Humboldt B-52 Bombers at Bomber Field. The A's spoiled the Bombers' opening day with an impressive road victory.
Kaleb White was able to work out of trouble on the mound. He was able to keep the hitters off balance all day. He was able to work out of trouble multiple times, and ended the day as the winning pitcher. He gave up one run over 5 innings. In the top of the 6th, with the A's trailing 1-0, Will Pettener smoked a 2 RBI double to the right-center field gap to score Hepp and Parks. He would launch another double off the wall in the top of the 9th. Austen Dubriel hit a triple down the right field line, Parks had a pair of hits, Hepp was good with the bat and the glove, Robinson had an RBI single in the 9th, and Blackwell was lights out for 3 innings of relief. The Fresno A's are now 1-0 and will play the B-52's again in the second game of this 3 game series tomorrow at 5:30.

Fresno Athletics 14U defeated CV Marlins 9-0 on Saturday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Julian Rocha got Anthony to hit into a fielder's choice to finish off the game.
Fresno Athletics 14U grabbed an early lead. Fresno Athletics 14U scored on a double by Eleazar Aguierre, an error, and a walk in the first inning.
Fresno Athletics 14U took an early lead in the first inning. With zero outs in the first inning Aguierre drove in two runs when he doubled.
Fresno Athletics 14U scored four runs in the third inning. Fresno Athletics 14U scored on a single by Andrew Perez and a walk.
One bright spot for CV Marlins was a single by David in the fifth inning.
Cameron DeMaria earned the win for Fresno Athletics 14U. He threw three innings, giving up zero runs, zero hits, and striking out four. Two relievers helped Fresno Athletics 14U close out the victory. Julian Rocha threw one and two-thirds innings. Nate took the loss for CV Marlins. He pitched one inning, surrendering four runs, two hits, and striking out one.
Manny Galo, Aguierre, Dean McCurly, DeMaria, Diego Ruiz, and Perez each managed one hit to lead Fresno Athletics 14U.

Curtis Throws Shutout As Fresno Athletics 14U Defeats Cali Tigers

​Zach Curtis didn't allow a single run as Fresno Athletics 14U defeated Cali Tigers 16-0 on Saturday. Curtis allowed just one hit and induced a groundout from John to end the game.
​Fresno Athletics 14U secured the victory thanks to 11 runs in the third inning. Fresno Athletics 14U scored on a double by Eleazar Aguierre, a single by Diego Ruiz, a single by Tyler Kiggens, a walk by Julian Rocha, a single by Caleb Geisler, a walk by Bobby Staley, a single by Dean McCurly, and a single by Aguierre.
Fresno Athletics 14U scored 11 runs in the third inning. The big inning was thanks to a double by Aguierre, a single by Ruiz, a single by Kiggens, a walk by Rocha, a single by Geisler, a walk by Staley, a single by McCurly, and a single by Aguierre.
One bright spot for Cali Tigers was a single by McGhuey in the first inning.
Zach Curtis earned the win for Fresno Athletics 14U. He threw three innings, surrendering zero runs, one hit, striking out one, and walking one. McGhuey took the loss for Cali Tigers. He pitched two innings, allowing five runs, one hit, and striking out one.
Fresno Athletics 14U had eight hits in the game. Aguierre and Geisler each collected multiple hits for Fresno Athletics 14U. Geisler and Aguierre each managed two hits to lead Fresno Athletics 14U. Fresno Athletics 14U was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. McCurly made the most plays with four. McCurly led Fresno Athletics 14U with four stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 13 stolen bases.
McGhuey led Cali Tigers with one hit in one at bats. Cali Tigers didn't commit a single error in the field. John had four chances in the field, the most on the team.
